Guidelines

We are glad that you wish to participate in CLI's practice pitch program that will be held during the Summit on Monday, July 29th. Before we match you, please read through the following guidelines. Please note: all selected participants must be registered to attend the Summit by July 12th.

Purpose:
___        Provide junior partners and senior associates the opportunity to pitch to, and receive feedback from, corporate counsel. As CLI's mission is to advance diversity in the legal profession, preference may be given to applicants whose demographics are underrepresented in the profession.
___        There is no expectation that business will result from this exercise.

Logistics:
___        Partners/Associates may decide to form their own “team” or go solo when they pitch and will indicate preference on interest form.
___    CLI will attempt to match attorneys to corporate counsel based on their areas of interest/expertise listed on the interest form.
___        Once matched, CLI will assign attorneys and in-house attorneys, and informed them of time/location of scheduled session.

___ Practice pitches will occur during the Summit on Monday, July 29th. All selected participants must be registered to attend the Summit by July 12th.
___ Each session will last 50 minutes. CLI recommends the practice pitch be @ 30 minutes, with 15-20 minutes set aside for feedback and Q&A.

Deadlines:
___ July 10 June 28: Sign-up Form must be submitted to CLI.

___ July 11 July 8: If selected, applicants will be notified of match.

___ July 12: Selected applicants must be registered for Summit to avoid cancellation of match.

___ July 29: Practice Pitch session.

Follow-up:
___ CLI will talk with each participant for an evaluation by the end of September.
___ Participants will notify CLI if at some point business does directly/indirectly result from this program.
