Science in the City Volunteer Registration

Thank you for volunteering at the Australian Museum's Science in the City festival during National Science Week.

Events include:
1. Science in the City - schools program on 6-8 August & 13-15 August 2019
2. Science in the City Under 7s - Little Explorers Big Day Out - Friday August 9
3. Science in the City Community - Super Science Saturday - Saturday August 10

Shift Information

Each shift will be 5-6 hours long, including breaks, and start at 8am each morning.

Shifts may sometimes be shorter depending upon the tasks assigned to you. If you are interested in volunteering on a specific day but only available during certain hours please make a note of these hours when you register (below).

If you're not 100% sure of your availability in August yet you're still able to register, just provide a rough indication of your availability instead. We will confirm your availability with you closer to the festival.

All personal details in this application and on any other documents supplied are used for recruitment purposes only at the Australian Museum. They are accessed only by relevant staff and authorised individuals and destroyed when no longer relevant. Mailing lists are not provided to any external person or organisation.

As the main audience of SITC is children, volunteers are required to have a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC). You can send these details through at a later date if you don’t currently hold a current WWCC, but you will need to obtain a valid WWCC number to be able to work during the festival.
