Introduction

The City of New Bedford wants your input! In anticipation of the South Coast Rail project, the Department of City Planning is working on a Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) study for each new platform. The study includes the areas (approximately 1/2 mile) surrounding each proposed platform location: 1) North New Bedford (Church Street) and 2) New Bedford (Whale's Tooth).

What is TOD?
Transit-oriented development, or TOD, is a type of community development that includes a mixture of housing, office, retail and/or other amenities integrated into a walkable neighborhood and located within a half-mile of quality public transportation.

Please complete this survey regarding your experiences around each study area and about your hopes for future improvements. It will only take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Your responses will help shape planning efforts in New Bedford! Thank you.

For more information about this study visit the project website or the Department of City Planning Facebook page. If you are filling out a paper copy of this survey, please either mail it to the Department of City Planning (address is below) or bring it to City Hall.
