Award Information

Like everything else in our industry, "SENSEI" is, of course, an acronym, standing for:
Seasoned Employee / Non-Seasoned Employee Interface
The Continental SENSEI Award is designed to recognize and reward mentors who go above and beyond to help us (the Young Generation in Nuclear) to develop, succeed and achieve. As Knowledge Transfer and Retention continues to be a focus for our industry and our NAYGN organization, we see the SENSEI awards as a way to formally recognize the positive examples of KT&R that are already happening throughout the industry.
How the Award Works:

This year, 16 Continental SENSEI Award winners will be selected by an NAYGN committee. Nominations of one (1) SENSEI candidate can be submitted by up to two (2) nominators. Nomination forms will include basic information about nominees and nominators (site, work group, etc.) as well as a free-form responses to short answer prompts as to why the nominee should be selected as a SENSEI Award Winner.


Continental SENSEI Award winners will receive an embroidered  polo shirt and a trophy/plaque to commemorate the award. Nominators for SENSEI Award winners will also receive an NAYGN polo shirt.


Nominations for the Continental SENSEI Awards will be collected during May - June 2018. Announcement of winners can be expected in Fall 2018.
