The National Association of Women Highway Safety Leaders (NAWHSL) is a non-profit, tax-exempt 501 (c) (3) organization founded in 1967. NAWHSL was founded by women, with a goal of serving and empowering all. Our association welcomes all traffic safety advocates including but not limited to government employees, Highway Safety Office staff, safety partners, educators, and volunteers.

NAWHSL is pleased to announce the Call for Presentations for our 2026 Annual Conference. The conference will be held from August 27 - 29, 2026 at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis Downtown in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

NAWHSL is dedicated to providing the highway safety community with the latest information, training, and resources to enhance traffic safety across the national. Our annual conference serves as a vital platform for sharing knowledge, discussing new technologies and concepts, and addressing the ongoing challenges in traffic safety.

We invite traffic safety professionals, law enforcement professionals, subject matter experts, traffic safety advocates, highway safety offices, public health entities, and other stakeholders to submit proposals for presentations that will educate, engage, and inspire attendees. We are seeking dynamic and informative sessions that offer actionable takeaways for professionals and others in the field of highway safety.


SUBMISSION DEADLINE: APRIL 1, 2026
Selected presenters will be notified by May 1, 2026. If your proposal is selected, you will be provided with detailed information and logistical information along with a request for other required information.

Presentation Guidelines:

Format: Presentations should be designed for a one to two-hour session, including time for Q&A.

Content: All presentations must be non-commercial. The focus should be on education and training.

Audience: The target audience consists of highway safety leaders, traffic safety professionals, law enforcement and others from across the nation including U.S. Territories and Commonwealths. Presentations should be tailored to provide practical, relevant, and engaging content for this group.
