About this survey

On 19 August 2026, the Australian Senate established a Select Committee on Women’s Health. This Select Committee will focus on a wide range of women’s health issues including fertility, postpartum healthcare and women’s pain.

This survey asks about your experience of pregnancy, birth, postpartum recovery, pain conditions, and/or fertility treatment. Your answers will help provide a thorough submission to the Select Committee.

This survey asks about care you were offered, care you used, care you needed but could not access and the effect of those experiences. Your answers will help your specialist obstetrician/gynaecologist and the National Association of Specialist Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (NASOG) present patient experience evidence in their submission to the Select Committee and strengthen advocacy for safe, accessible and affordable specialist women's health care.

The survey does not ask for your name and should take about 15 minutes. You may answer only the sections that apply to you, skip any question or stop at any time. Results will be reported in aggregate. Short quotations will be used only if you provide separate consent and no identifying details will be included.

If you would like to learn more about the Select Committee or make your own personal submission, you can find more information HERE

This survey is not a clinical service or complaints process. Please contact your treating practitioner if you need medical advice or contact the relevant regulators if you wish to make a complaint about your care.

Thank you for playing a part in building a better future for women’s health in Australia.

Privacy and Consent
Your specialist’s practice has sent you the link to this survey on behalf of the National Association of Specialist Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (NASOG). Your name, contact details and clinical records have not been provided to NASOG.

Participation is voluntary. Your decision to participate or not participate will not affect your current or future healthcare. Neither NASOG nor your specialist’s practice will know whether you have completed the survey.

The survey does not ask for your name or contact details. NASOG will use the responses to inform its submission to the Senate Select Committee on Women’s Health and related advocacy about women’s healthcare. Findings will be reported in aggregate.

Please do not include your name, the names of clinicians or staff, dates of birth, hospital record numbers or other identifying information in your written responses. If identifying information is provided inadvertently, NASOG will remove it where practicable before analysing or reporting the response.

Access to survey responses will be restricted to authorised NASOG personnel. Responses will be stored securely, retained only for as long as reasonably required for the submission and related advocacy and then securely deleted.

NASOG will not publish information that could reasonably identify you. Short de-identified quotations will be used only where you provide separate consent.

You may skip any question or stop the survey at any time before submitting your response. As the survey is anonymous, NASOG will generally be unable to identify or delete an individual response after it has been submitted.
