The National Accreditation Programs for Breast Centers (NAPBC) is seeking topics for presentation at the Quality Makes a Difference workshop on April 23 (afternoon) and 24, 2020 in Rosemont, IL.
 
Presentation Guidelines: The presentation should focus on best practices that have improved access to care, work processes, or the patient experience in an NAPBC-accredited center.
 
Please note: All submissions must be completed at one time. If you leave the system, you will have to complete your submission from the beginning. Please have the following items ready:

Title of presentation abstract
Description of presentation (250 words max)
Brief biographical sketch of the presenter (100 words max)
 
Important Deadlines:
  • Abstract submissions due: January 31, 2020
  • Deadline extended through February 14, 2020
  • Acceptance notifications sent out: Mid February 2020
  • Presenter acceptances due: February 28, 2020
Guidelines: Call for abstracts are requested from physicians and health care professionals at NAPBC-accredited centers. All submissions will be reviewed and selected topics will be accepted for either an oral presentation or a poster. Abstract submissions not selected for this conference may be considered for future educational programs.
 
Abstracts should fall into one of six best practice topic categories to be considered:
  • Cancer Conferences
  • Clinical Trials
  • Genetics
  • Innovations to patient care
  • Innovations to program activity
  • Surveillance
Target Audience: This conference is designed for all members of the multidisciplinary care team at breast care centers and health care facilities treating patients with breast cancer and diseases of the breast, including but not limited to:
  • Breast Program Directors, Breast Program Leaders
  • Breast Program Leadership Committee Members
  • Genetic Counselors
  • Navigators
  • Nurses
  • Physicians, including general and plastic surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, diagnostic radiologists, and pathologists
  • Registrars
  • Social Workers
Program Description: NAPBC's Workshop: Quality Makes a Difference addresses cutting-edge topics regarding the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered, multidisciplinary care to patients with breast cancer and diseases of the breast.
