VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System (ECHCS) will be training providers on the NADA protocol* and we need “ears” to train on. Volunteers are asked to commit to approximately 30 minutes of their time for a trainee to needle 5 acupuncture points in each ear (total of 10 points). This is a one-time commitment.
We are accepting volunteer registrations until July 27, 2026, and time slots are on a first come, first served basis. You will be called on Tuesday, July 28th to confirm which timeslot you received.
Note: Employees who are not also Veterans will not have needles placed; they will have ear seeds placed.
*The National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) Protocol was developed as a treatment for many things including, but not limited to, pain, anxiety, depression, PTSD, sleep, substance use disorders, and other mental health conditions.
For your volunteer time, you will report to A1-229 Daisy at the VA Rocky Mountain Regional Medical Center, 1700 N. Wheeling St., Aurora, CO 80045. Please report at least 5 minutes prior to your timeslot to fill out paperwork.
