NACAC 2018 Award Nominations

Nominations are due by Friday, January 12, 2018!

In preparation for our 2018 conference in Saint Paul, Minnesota, the North American Council on Adoptable Children is seeking nominations for potential award recipients. We encourage you to nominate worthy members of the foster care or adoption community (including yourself or your parent group/organization).

Advocate of the Year — This award honors individuals who are nationally recognized for efforts to achieve permanence for children in foster care, have worked in the adoption community for many years, and have demonstrated leadership and innovation.

Parent Group of the Year — The award recognizes a parent group or association for outstanding support of adoptive, foster, or kinship parents..

Youth Advocate of the Year — This award celebrates exemplary work done by a young person (up to age 25, who was in foster care or who was adopted) on behalf of others who experienced foster care or adoption.

Champion for Change — The award honors outstanding local efforts to achieve permanence for children in Minnesota's child welfare system. (This award is a local award based on our conference site. For 2018, that’s Minnesota.)
