Up to four (4) Lois Widly Scholarships are awarded to nursing students each year. Ideally, two (2) of the scholarships are awarded to undergraduate and two (2) to graduate students. The award covers the cost of registration for the annual IntNSA conference and $500 stipend. Deadline for applications is June 30.


REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants are required to fill out the form below, provide a sponsorship letter, provide a second letter of recommendation, and submit a personal statement of interest explaining the applicants reasons for wanting to attend the conference.

The sponsorship letter must include sponsor's relationship to applicant, sponsor's reasons for recommending applicant, and sponsor's expectations for applicant's future success in addictions nursing.

Similarly, the additional recommendation letter must elaborate on his/her relationship to applicant, scholarly rationale in recommending applicant, and expectations for applicant's potential for leadership in addictions nursing following the completion of applicant's formal education.
The Cathy Buffington Memorial Scholarship is awarded to one IntNSA member who is currently employed as an Addictions Nurse and who is not eligible for the Lois Widly Scholarship. The Buffington Scholarship winner is a nurse who would be otherwise unable to attend the IntNSA Conference. The award covers the cost of registration for the annual IntNSA conference and $500 stipend. Deadline for applications is June 30.

REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants are required to fill out the form below, provide a letter of recommendation, and submit a personal statement of interest explaining the applicants reasons for wanting to attend the conference and the primary reason that he/she would otherwise be unable to attend.

The letter of recommendation should be written by a supervisor, nurse, co-worker, IntNSA member i.e. someone who can attest to the applicant's good standing the addiction nursing field.
