Informing Create's advocacy for the collaborative arts

In our recently published strategy - People Practice Progress: Building Sustainable Futures (2026-2031) - we set out our goals to develop, support, model and advocate for artists and communities so they can create exceptional art together. Our ultimate aim is to ensure that collaborative arts in Ireland is the very best that it can be.

Strategy goal three - to communicate and advocate more strongly for collaborative arts – establishes advocacy as a key pillar of work. By advocacy, we mean publicly promoting and representing collaborative arts to bring about positive change.

We aim to provide a strong voice for the sector, so we are now developing a new plan to guide our work in this area over the next five years. Annette Nugent is working with us on this, and is consulting with stakeholders to identify priorities and make recommendations.

To help us with our thinking and planning, we would like to understand what you think are the key issues to address in our advocacy, and to gather ideas to action.

This short survey gives you the opportunity to share your views and inform what we do, advocacy-wise, in the years ahead. Please be assured the survey is anonymous and confidential. We would appreciate your honest and considered response.

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

The survey contains 12 questions and should take 10 minutes to complete. It may work less well on Internet Explorer than other browsers. The survey will remain open until Monday October 12. If you need support in completing the survey, please contact annette@annettenugent.ie. Your anonymous contribution will not be shared beyond Create and Annette, and will be held in line with our Privacy Statement and Data Protection.
