At the United Nations (UN), children’s mental health will be in focus next year. It starts in March 2027, when the UN Human Rights Council - where countries meet to talk about human rights - will hold its Annual Day on the Rights of the Child on children's mental health. Ahead of this moment, the Child Rights Connect Taskforce on Children’s Right to Mental Health is looking for projects and initiatives designed and led by children that support children’s mental health or their access to mental health services.
Thank you for your interest to share your project or initiative with us. Before you start replying, there are few things to remember:
- children means anyone who is under 18,
- group is a team of children who worked on a project together, including Children's Networks, Councils and Parliaments,
- we are interested to hear about projects and initiative aimed at supporting the mental health of children or their access to mental health services.
Please continue with the survey only if you will not turn 18 by April 2027. If you have a group mixed with children and young people over 18, those who are under 18 can represent the group and reply the survey.
What happens next?
1. If you share your project, it will be part of a collection of projects and initiatives on the Child Rights Connect website.
2. You can join online meetings to talk about your experience with other children who have similar projects and meet with UN representatives who are working on this topic.
3. You can stay in touch with us to hear about more opportunities like this.
We follow our Safeguarding Policy and Procedure that you can read
here. This means that we will send you a consent form that you need to fill out and sign with your parents or caregivers. The Safeguarding Focal Point for this activity is Zsuzsanna Rutai, whom you can contact anytime with your concern at rutai@childrightsconnect.org.
You can reply this survey until the 27th November 2026. Thank you very much!
