Greetings Ethnic Studies faculty and faculty in related disciplines,

We thank you for your participation in providing feedback regarding the development of an Area of Emphasis TMC in Ethnic Studies. In Spring 2021, Course Identification Numbering System (C-ID) held three Discipline Input Group (DIG) meetings February 26, March 25, and April 23 for consideration and possible development of C-ID descriptors and Transfer Model Curriculum (TMC) in Ethnic Studies. The meeting outcomes resulted in the development of a draft Area of Emphasis TMC and draft C-ID descriptors in Ethnic Studies.

We are now calling for feedback on the draft Area of Emphasis TMC in Comparative Ethnic Studies along with TMCs in African American Studies, Asian American Studies, Chicana and Chicano Studies, and Native American Studies. In addition, C-ID descriptors were developed to support each TMC.

We realize that many faculty are getting ready for the summer break, but wanted to give everyone a chance to weigh in on these drafts as early as possible. Each survey will be available until September 1. Soon after the 2021-22 academic year begins, the Ethnic Studies Faculty Discipline Review Group (FDRG) will review survey responses.
