Collateral Damage: The Hidden Effects of Sibling Addiction on Mental Health

Thank you for your interest in participating in my dissertation study.

My name is Eli Ballard, I am a doctoral student at The Chicago School. This study is being conducted as a part of my dissertation research for the doctoral Clinical Psychology (PsyD) program.

I am asking you to participate in a research study that will examine the psychological stress, family dysfunction, and caregiver burden experienced by siblings of individuals who have been suffering from addiction problems. You will be asked to complete a demographic questionnaire, and complete five additional brief questionnaires. This will take roughly 15-20 minutes of your time. Although you may not directly benefit, this research will help equip families and mental health professionals on how to navigate familial addiction by bringing awareness to how addiction may impact the family unit, and how to identify various factors that may be contributing to family dynamics when addiction is present.
No directly identifiable information will be collected and research complies with data protection regulations (ODPR).

Participation in this study is voluntary. You may withdraw from study participation at any time without any penalty by clicking away from survey link.
