Bristol City Council (BCC) has been working with Carriageworks Action Group (CAG) to procure a development partner to work with to secure the redevelopment of the Carriageworks and Westmoreland House site on Stokes Croft. Knightstone Housing submitted a proposal for the site as part of the procurement exercise and has been invited to submit further detailed proposals for the site as part of the third and final stage of the procurement process. In 2011 CAG and BCC undertook extensive community consultation and produced the Community Vision that sets out the ambitions of the local neighbourhood for the redevelopment of the site. Knightstone Housing has now developed three redevelopment options for the site based on the Community Vision and a series of workshops held in July and August 2013. We are now seeking your views about the options to help refine our proposals and identify a preferred option to submit with our Stage III tender submission. Please note that each option is subject to financial deliverability, obtaining further site information, compliance with Knightstone Housing’s Design Brief (submitted as part of our Stage II tender submission and available at click here) and discussions with Bristol City Council Planning and Highways departments before a preferred option can be identified.
