Overview

The Town of Brookline, MA and Brookline Art Makes Community (BAMC), an American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funded public art initiative, invites artists to apply to the Murals Around Town program for 2024. This summer, selected artist(s) will be awarded grants to create mural artworks on exterior walls across Town. The painted or installed murals will be displayed publicly throughout Brookline’s main commercial areas. Our goal is to promote the arts and business communities in our town with more commercial area vibrancy through this inviting public art program. Installation of the artworks will occur during a 2-week or so span over the summer and will hopefully culminate in a mural festival celebration with the artists! All ages in the community will delight in exploring each new mural and engaging with the artists as they bring their ideas to life.
