Welcome!

Thank you for your interest in performing at Moonlight: Adult Night at the Museum, our recurring Quarterly Friday evening program for adults (21+).

We welcome applications from musicians, bands, DJs, KJs, drag performers, spoken word artists, dancers, and other live performers who create engaging experiences for our guests. Bands and group dancers are paid by performance and not by individual. Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis, and selected performers will be contacted as opportunities arise.

Program Details
Event Time
  • Fridays
  • Museum program from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Load In Time
  • Earliest setup begins at 3:00 PM
Load Out Time
  • Preferred load out time by 9:30 PM
  • If you anticipate loading out after 9:30 PM, please let us know in advance.
  • Equipment must be packed up by 10:00 PM
Performance Length
  • Each performance slot is 30-45 minutes
    • Drag performers and other dancers are expected to perform a minimum of twice with a performance lasting between 5 and 10 minutes in a group of performers to have a combined work lasting the total performance time.
  • Performers can propose to perform for more than one performance slot
  • DJs & KJs are expected to play the entire duration of the event, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Scheduling
  • We typically schedule up to four performance slots per event.
  • We prefer to allow performers 15–30 minutes between sets whenever possible.
  • The final scheduled performance must continue until at least 8:30 PM.
Audience
  • This event is 21+ only
  • Performers under the age of 21 must disclose as such immediately for appropriate documentation to take place.
Compensation
Please review the following compensation structure:
  • If an offer is made it will be with a date that your performance would work best for our Moonlight theme.
  • Performance only: $100 per 45-minute performance slot.
  • If you provide your own complete sound system: $150 total per performance slot.
  • If you do not provide sound: The museum can hire a sound technician of your choosing at $62.50 per performance slot.
