Thanks to the generous partnership of the Moody Foundation, CNM is offering nonprofit organizations whose mission focuses on art, education, environment, health and social services the opportunity to apply for the 2019 Outcomes-Based Program Evaluation Institute to be held in Dallas.

The 6-8 eligible organizations accepted to participate in the Outcomes-Based Program Evaluation Institute will:

  • Receive 16 hours of outcomes-based program evaluation training for 2 - 3 staff.
  • Learn and implement strategies to develop goals and indicators, collect and analyze data, communicate findings to funders and key stakeholders, and use evaluation results.
  • Receive 8 hours of one-on-one coaching with a PhD-level consultant with expertise in program evaluation.
  • Develop an evaluation framework for one program that includes a theory of change model, a logic model with goals and indicators, and a data management plan.

Institute participants are invited based on the need for and commitment to program evaluation described in their application as well as the fit of the Institute content to the organization’s specific evaluation needs. Should your organization be awarded this opportunity, your organization’s fee to participate in the Outcomes-Based Program Evaluation Institute will be $500 (Unsubsidized Fee: $4,000).

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Have a mission primarily focused on arts, education, environment, health or social services.
  2. Have an operating budget between $500,000 and $4 million (if your operating budget is above or below this range and you would like to participate in the Institute, please contact Dr. Nora Douglas, Outcomes and Evaluation Director, at douglas@thecnm.org)
  3. Be able to designate an Evaluation Team of 2 or 3 consistent staff members to attend and participate fully in the following Institute workshops and coaching:
    • Tuesday, February 5, 9:00 am-1:00 pm
    • Tuesday, February 26, 9:00 am-1:00 pm
    • Tuesday, March 19, 9:00 am-1:00 pm
    • Tuesday, April 9, 9:00 am-1:00 pm
    • Four 2-hour Coaching Sessions
  4. Have stable leadership in place and key leaders who are committed to implementing and/or improving program evaluation within the organization
  5. Complete the application form by Wednesday, January 23.
