City of Monterey Economic Development Survey

Help Shape Monterey’s Economic Future

The City of Monterey is developing an Economic Development Strategy to guide future priorities. With the City currently facing a budget deficit, new economic-development initiatives are not expected to be funded immediately. Your feedback will help shape a strategy the City can implement as funding becomes available.

What is economic development? Economic development can include supporting businesses, attracting investment, improving business areas, expanding housing options for Monterey’s workforce, and strengthening and diversifying the local economy.

This survey takes about 8–10 minutes and is intended for adults age 18 or older.

Throughout the survey, “the City” means the City of Monterey government; “Monterey” means the community as a whole.
