Nominations Due October 24, 2022

Many exciting and effective programs in community colleges address the needs of women— students, faculty, staff, and community members. The purpose of the Model Programs Award initiative is to enhance participation in local AAWCC activities in community colleges, encourage the development of mentoring experiences for women, and promote the sharing of information about the programs and activities that support women in community colleges. The selected programs will be showcased and honored at the AAWCC National Conference  (November 4, 2022) along with other marketing opportunities.

To apply for the Model Programs Award and help AAWCC recognize your outstanding program please follow these instructions with the application (Note: a separate application is required for each program submission):

1.   The completed Model Programs Award Application by October 24, 2022.

2.   The supporting documentation must be limited to a maximum of 7 pages or less and include the following:
-a statement signed by the college’s CEO authorizing AAWCC to publicize information about the applicant’s model program in its publications and other appropriate publications for use by AAWCC members and chapters.
-Published materials and documents that support the application and/or describe the model program, including brochures, newsletters, flyers, etc. (Only PDF, DOC, DOCX, PNG, JPG, JPEG, GIF files are supported.)
3.   All application materials must be submitted online on or before October 24, 2022.

Model Programs Award winners for 2022 will be notified on or before October 31, 2022.
