Codifying Embrace Millcreek

The Township's zoning code and subdivision and land development ordinance (SALDO) represent its most powerful tools in shaping the form and function of the local built environment. A full update of both documents will help ensure that these regulations are working to make the Embrace Millcreek comprehensive plan vision a reality.

First up: The zoning code. This ordinance divides the Township into districts and regulates types of land uses that are allowed or prohibited in each. It also controls dimensional standards such as lot size and the placement, height and density of buildings, as well as exterior lighting, landscaping and off-street parking, among other elements.

Please take a moment to provide your perspective on how the zoning code could better serve Millcreek Township.
