Metcalfe School - Safe Routes to School Street Design Voting

Vote for street improvements you want to see!

The City of Milwaukee is building a "Safe Routes to School" street improvements project around Ralph H. Metcalfe School in order to make walking and biking to school safer and more comfortable. City staff have worked with the Metcalfe School community and the Wisconsin Bike Fed to identify safety concerns and come up with several design options for what can be built within the project's $75,000 budget.

This project may include changes such as crosswalks, speed bumps, traffic circles, pedestrian beacons, and curb extensions. Based on what we've heard from the community, we've developed three design options for you to vote on:

Green Design: Make it easier to cross North Ave at 34th St (by the school entrance)
Blue Design: Make it easier to cross North Ave at 33rd St (by the southeast corner of the school)
Orange Design: Make smaller improvements to speeding and crossing at multiple locations

Please check out the rest of this survey to learn more about each option and vote on what you'd like the City to build!
