MEETINGS
          Different groups hold meetings during the MPSA Annual Conference (e.g. Editorial Boards, Caucuses).  The MPSA reviews requests and can assign times and a (virtual) room.
RECEPTIONS
          Often Departments or publishers host receptions during the conference. Virtual receptions work best if there is a theme:
               "New Developments in...";
               "How to finish your book during a pandemic" or
               "Martini's and Monetary Policy".
NETWORKING 
          Organize a focused networking event that brings together research on a specific topic, or perhaps attendees from a specific country.  Don't be afraid to organize "fun" activities: 
               "Political Scientists & their Pets"
               "Morning Yoga"
               "Amazon Movie Night". Watch the same movie & chat.
LOGISTICS
          Length. Either 15-minutes (the time between the sessions), or 90-minutes (the length of a panel). 
          Small Rooms. They hold just 10-12 people (plus a host) and work well for conversations.  
          Lectures. Large, topically oriented reception could start with a 15-minute talk, Q&A and then....
          Multiple Small Rooms. Attendees select a small room for 20 minutes of networking before they move do different rooms for more.
