This survey tool aligns to the best practices outlined by the Math Common Core Standards and the Danielson Teaching Framework and will allow teachers to prioritize the needs and the strategies that are being used in their classroom.

Within this shorten survey (10 questions) teachers are asked to indicate the extent to which each practice is viewed as a “strength” or as an area of need in their own instructional practices. In this way, the survey can be used as both a professional development needs analysis and a measure of progress toward these indicated practices.

DIRECTIONS:

On the following page you will be provided questions which will focus a few of the most critical factors that research has shown to have a significant impact on student learning and achievement in math.

Please read each of the 10 questions carefully. Please answer as carefully, thoughtfully, and honestly as you can. This will ensure that the results are as valid and useful as possible. Please take as much time as you need to complete this survey.”

For each question you will be asked to rate your response based on the following:

(Important) - How important you think the indicator is in respect to its impact on student achievement?

(Support) - How supported do you feel with this indicator? (e.g., professional development, instructional leadership, materials, resources etc.)

(Instructional Strength) - To what degree does this indicator represent an area of strength in your own practices on a typical day?

Please Note: For a more comprehensive needs analysis Teach n’ Kids Learn (TKL) recommends the use by schools and districts of the comprehensive version of the Ci2 Protocol Math Instructional Survey.

RESULTS: At the end of this survey you will be presented a report which will allow you to see how you compare to other educators who have also completed this survey across the country.

If you would like to receive a more personalized priority needs analysis report please let us know by contact us at PD@TeachnKidsLearn.com
