The California Product Stewardship Council (CPSC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and California’s leading expert on Product Stewardship and the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) movement.

In partnership with the Zero Waste Marin Joint Powers Authority, CPSC has been piloting solar panel collection within Marin County since 2024. In addition, funded by CalRecycle, CPSC has partnered with StopWaste, to pilot solar panel collection within Alameda County.

The below questions are to help us better understand the current state of solar panel reuse and recycling in both Marin and Alameda Counties and to gauge interest in future solar panel collection events.
