The California Product Stewardship Council (CPSC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and California’s leading expert on Product Stewardship and the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) movement. In partnership with the Zero Waste Marin Joint Powers Authority, CPSC has been piloting solar panel collection within Marin County since 2024.

The below questions are to help us better understand the current state of solar panel reuse and recycling in the County and to gauge the need for a solar panel reuse and recycling program. There are opportunities to submit requests if you have solar panels available to collection and want to receive free reused panels for installation.
