Welcome to the "2017 Manhattan Kayak Circumnavigation" registration.

WELCOME!!

The 14th Annual Manhattan Kayak Circumnavigation will take place on Saturday, July 15, 2017 (Rain date: July 16, 2017).

This annual kayak paddle around New York’s Manhattan Island will begin and end at either the Hazard Boat Ramp in Fort Lee New Jersey or the Dyckman Street Beach on the Hudson River in Northern Manhattan. Kayakers have their choice of starting/ending locations.

The Kayak Circumnavigation is open to all who qualify based on paddling experience, deck kayaks 14 feet or longer and paddler abilities. Club membership is not required and out-of-towners are welcomed. Careful planning means that the tidal currents help rather than oppose the paddlers. Safety of the large group is enhanced via general marine radio use; safety boat and jet-ski escorts and Coast Guard notification. Kayakers can socialize, exercise, take pictures and explore during this amazing 30 mile excursion around Manhattan Island.

Kayakers will be assigned pods that they will stay with for the duration of the trip. The first pods will launch at 7:30 from the Dyckman Beach location. A group of slow and/or meditative kayakers will launch at 6 AM from the same location. If you would like to be included in this first group PLEASE CHECK the slow/meditative box later in the survey.

For kayakers, payment information will be sent to you after your registration has been reviewed by the planning group. PLEASE BE PATIENT AS THIS MAY TAKE A WHILE. We promise we will be in touch with you via email as soon as possible.

YOUR REGISTRATION IS NOT CONFIRMED UNTIL YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE REGISTRATION PROCESS, BEEN ACCEPTED INTO THE EVENT, PAID THE NON-REFUNDABLE FEE and FILLED OUT THE AMERICAN CANOE ASSOCIATION ONLINE WAIVER.
