Management of Blood banks and transfusion services in low-resource settings |
Introduction
Blood transfusion services have a wide range of fundamental requirements viz. donor screening and testing criteria and a significant quality management system around the world. However, there are still numerous challenges faced by many lower and middle-income countries (LMICs) in the world with regard to effective transfusion services.
In order to get access to the existing settings of blood transfusion establishments in LMICs, the International Society for Blood Transfusion (ISBT) has established a multidisciplinary working group with a global presence from all six continents. The online survey questionnaire is developed by this working group to understand your country's current blood and transfusion situation.
We invite you to take part in this survey on a voluntary basis. We aim to publish the results of this survey and your contributions will be acknowledged. Please fill up this survey within 2 weeks, to enable us to publish the results swiftly.
If you are unable to answer the questionnaire or unwilling to participate, we would appreciate if you could give us a contact of someone from another institute who can answer the questionnaire from your country.
