This survey has been temporarily closed and will be re-released at a later date. On July 2, 2026, the Town launched the “Future Park Amenities” survey to gather community input on potential park and recreation amenities for two new park opportunity sites: the Bell Shaped Parcel and the Whitmore Recreation Area Expansion. While the survey was intended to build on the priorities identified through the comprehensive engagement process of the Parks and Recreation Plan (PRMP), we recognize that aspects of the survey's format and content fell short of community expectations, leading to confusion and concern about the Bell Shaped Parcel site. We take full responsibility for that outcome and apologize to those who felt their feedback was not being sought in a clear or meaningful way. We greatly value the trust our community places in us, and it is clear that we need to take a different approach. As a result, we have temporarily closed the survey while we revise the survey format and questions. Our goal is to relaunch a survey that provides a more effective way for residents to share their valuable input. To everyone who already participated, thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. Your input has not gone unnoticed or unheard. When the revised Future Park Amenities Survey is available, we hope you will participate again so we can gather input through a process that better reflects community expectations. We appreciate your patience as we work to improve this process and ensure community voices remain at the center of future park planning decisions.
