2021 Main St Weekend Pilot

Hello Neighbors! The Ocean Park Association (OPA) wants your input about a potential test on a few weekends to close limited parts of Main St. to make it more pedestrian friendly, allow for more social distancing, and enhance safe outdoor dining and shopping. Key details:
  • Run pilot for 1 weekend in early summer, assess results, and possibly try 2-3 further weekend tests
  • Close two restaurant dense blocks between Hill to Kinney to vehicular traffic
  • Leave all side streets / cross traffic open (similar to 3rd St Promenade)
  • Direct traffic away from 2nd and 3rd Streets and towards Neilson Way and the parking lots between Main Street and Neilson Way
Here is a rendering of the potential proposed closure areas for the initial test: CLICK HERE to View Main Street Closure Rendering

Please complete the following brief survey and feel free to reach out to OPA directly at contact@opa-sm.org if you have more feedback or want to get involved. Thank you!
