This transformative initiative is being delivered by Mabadiliko CIC in partnership with Liverpool City Region Combined Authority to support VCFSE organisations across Liverpool City Region in developing their anti-racism practice and advancing racial equality.
Why are we conducting this project?
Race equality means different things to different organisations - it can include diverse leadership, inclusive service delivery, equitable recruitment practices, culturally responsive programming, and genuine community engagement. We want to work directly with VCFSE organisations to assess current practices, identify areas for growth, and implement meaningful changes that enhance racial equality across your operations.
Your participation will help strengthen the entire Liverpool City Region VCFSE sector while building your organisation's capacity to better serve diverse communities and advance anti-racist practice.

What's involved?
If selected, your organisation will participate in a comprehensive 6-month development programme including:
If selected, your organisation will participate in a comprehensive 6-month development programme including:
- Personal Anti-Racism Journey Workshop: Self-reflective processes for individuals to explore their relationship with race, privilege, and allyship
- VCS Anti-Racism Self-Evaluation: Self-reflective process for organisations providing a safe space to take stock of current anti-racism practices without fear of judgement (includes mapping policy and process documents)
- Leadership Deep Dive: In-depth session with to review framework findings and co-creating action plans
- Skills Development Workshops: 2 x tailored workshops addressing collective needs and priorities
- Progress Review Session: Measuring progress and providing guidance
- Cross-Cohort Celebration Event: Showcasing achievements and building ongoing networks

- Comprehensive review of your current race equality practices
- Organisational action plan based on a facilitated self review, with prioritised recommendations
- Individual progress report documenting your journey and achievements
- Access to Mabadiliko's Learning Management System with ongoing resources
- Networking opportunities with other committed VCFSE organisations
- Follow-up support to sustain your progress
Your privacy and data protection
Any information you share with us through this survey will be securely stored on Mabadiliko CIC's password-protected laptops or encrypted backup files, and everything will be deleted as soon as the study is completed. If you change your mind about taking part in the study, you can withdraw at any time up to 2 weeks after your focus group without providing any explanation.
