This self-assessment will help you get a health snapshot of your organization.

7. Measurable Impact: The activities, programs and initiatives of the organization are oriented toward a clear and meaningful impact that is measurable. The organization is responding to data through continuous improvement.

8. Culture and Climate: The organization is characterized by meaningful and professional interactions among staff, volunteers, and board. There is a sense of trust and mutual respect permeating the organization’s ethos. Healthy habits of conflict resolution and accountability for productive relational mores are fostered.

9. Clear Expectations and Communication: Throughout the organization, there is a shared sense of “how we act” and “how we handle things.” Lines of communication and reporting are defined. Roles are clear. Expectations are shared. Both formal and informal systems are helpful, sensible, and adopted by all.

10. Financial Health: The organization is taking action toward financial stability. Leaders exhibit financial competence in the management and operation of the organization. There is appropriate accountability for finances (income and outflow), transparency and reporting of financial indicators, and oversight of financial decisions.

There are strategies developed to build sufficient supporters who are participants in programs, engaged in the broader mission, and championing the organization to others beyond their existing spheres of influence.
