Introduction

The Manitoba Government has provided funding through the Manitoba Community Safety and Well-Being Planning Project for the Town of Swan River to develop a Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) Plan in partnership with the Canadian Centre for Safer Communities.

CSWB planning brings together community leaders, organizations, and residents to co-create a vision and an actionable plan to improve safety, sense of safety, and well-being in their community.

We want to understand how you feel about safety and well-being in Swan Valley by identifying local strengths, challenges, and opportunities.

This project will include several public engagement activities, beginning with this survey and followed by focus groups and other engagements.

This survey will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete and responses will be collected until September 30th, 2024 at 11:59pm. Demographic information is collected to understand the various experiences of Swan Valley residents. All responses are confidential.

Content Warning: This survey includes questions about your experience with several crimes, including domestic violence, assault, and sexual assault. Specific details regarding your experience will not be asked. If you would like to discuss your experience in more detail, a list of resources has been included.

If you have questions about the survey or you would like to request a paper copy, please contact the Town of Swan River by email at main@townsr.ca.
