AAPS Awards Selection Committee Call for Volunteers

Help Identify the Peers Who Will Inspire Other Scientists

The AAPS Awards Committee oversees the AAPS Awards Program, which brings attention to, and celebrates, impactful science as well as the scientists who serve as role models in the pharmaceutical sciences community.

AAPS seeks applications for volunteers to serve on selection committees for three high profile honors:

- Distinguished Pharmaceutical Scientist Award
- Global Leader Award
- Dale E. Wurster Research Award

Qualifications

Applicants must:

Maintain membership throughout their service.
Review requirements for these honors at:
- Distinguished Pharmaceutical Scientist: www.aaps.org/DPSaward
- Global Leader Award: www.aaps.org/GLaward
- Wurster Award: www.aaps.org/Wursteraward
Commit to spending a few hours in May and June learning how to review nominations and then reviewing nomination packages.
Declare any conflict of interest they might hold with a nominee to the AAPS Awards Committee Chair.
Attend a selection committee meeting in May or June to select a recipient.
Use web-based software, including Microsoft Teams and the awards review platform.
Maintain confidentiality and act impartially and diligently.

Apply by Monday, April 29, 2024.
