Database Engineer

Location: Head Office, Lahore

Education:   BCS or equivalent

Experience: 1-2 years of Core Oracle database and Apps Database experience.

Key Responsibilities:

         Database Administration      

• Effectively manage the daily backups.
• Ensure that services are up and running.
• Apply patching to resolve the different issues of R-12.
• Undertake cloning review.
• Routine and scheduled review of the Database storage structure and if required take steps to increase space.
• Monitor end users sessions.
• Rectify run time errors and resolve related issues. 
          
  Service Operations and Application Administration
• Execute the operations of the Network Operations Center (NOC).
• Closely liaison & interaction with (Oracle Corporation) NOC/DC and other IT internal functions.
• Undertake systems backups, archiving, and disaster recovery.
• Implementation of disaster recovery protocol.
• Undertake daily back-up activity.
• Provide RDF reports to Business Applications department.
• Place SS cards on production database.
• Monitor hardware & memory up-grades.
