WORLD LANGUAGES DEPARTMENT Placement 2017

Please help us place your student in the appropriate level language class.

For each language offered at Marin Academy (French, Mandarin-Chinese and Spanish), we have prepared guidelines to help place students at the level in which they will be most successful. Please keep in mind that only the strongest of students place out of Level I instruction. Additionally, although a student might be grammatically prepared for an advanced class, we consider developmental factors (for example, skills in critical thinking and essay writing) before placing 9th and 10th graders in upper level courses. We appreciate your collaboration and look forward to working with your language learners.
