Description:
This 15-20 min survey, a follow-up to the 2025 edition, asks participants in the book industry supply chain in the US and Canada questions about their approach to artificial intelligence (AI), including their current and prospective use of AI tools in their operations and workflows. The answers will enable the data-driven development of resources by the Book Industry Study Group (BISG) and BookNet Canada, which will be shared with your organization and other members of the book supply chain. All respondents will be anonymized.

All respondents will be anonymized.
What we do with your data:
- Personal identifying information (company and department) will only be used internally by BookNet Canada and BISG to track responses.
- Information related to role, i.e., editor, designer, freelancer, may be used to contextualize long-form responses, such as quotes.
- Non-personal identifying data will only be released in aggregate form. All responses will be kept anonymous.
How to fill in and edit your survey answers:
- Once you begin, your responses are saved and submitted only when you click the “Next” button at the bottom of the survey page. If you want to go back to a prior page in the survey, using the "Back" and "Next" buttons at the bottom of the survey page will ensure that what you’ve filled in so far gets saved.
- If you exit the survey, you can pick up where you left off by using the same device and survey URL you used to start the survey. Though if you exit the survey without pressing the “Next” button, any responses on that page will not be saved.
- Your survey will be considered complete when you click the ”Done” button on the last page of the survey.
