Bringing together NEAS and it's specialist capabilities teams.

A opportunity to engage with leaders in the specialist capabilities teams, discussing the future, new advances, and major incidents.

🔴 ADAM DESMOND – 7/7 & King’s Cross Paramedic
Adam will deliver a no-holes-barred session on human factors and bandwidth saturation during major incidents.
Drawing on his experience of some of the most significant incidents in UK emergency response, Adam will explore what happens when information, decisions and demands exceed our available cognitive bandwidth — and the implications this has for individuals, teams and organisations operating in high-pressure environments.
This promises to be an honest, challenging and thought-provoking session.

🟠 ALUN ROSS – HART MANAGER
The Impact of HART Paramedics on the Region’s Patients
Alun will explore the role of Hazardous Area Response Teams (HART) and the impact HART paramedics have on patients across the region.
The session will look beyond the capability itself to consider the difference specialist paramedics can make when responding to complex, hazardous and challenging incidents — and how HART has developed to support patients and frontline colleagues across the North East.

🔵 LEE THOMPSON – REGIONAL CRITICAL CARE
Regional Critical Care – Past, Present & Future
Lee will take us through the development of regional critical care, where we are now and where the service may be heading in the future.
The session will provide an opportunity to consider how critical care provision continues to evolve and how different specialist services can work together to deliver the best possible response for patients.
