When undertaking healthcare improvements, what is the action to take when you've identified a clinical problem AND there IS evidence on best practice?
Run an RCT to ensure your patient group will benefit from the evidence that exists;
Distribute the guidelines to the team and ask them to follow them;
Design an implementation project to target local barriers using evidence based intervention strategies;
Design a new intervention based on what has worked in other hospitals that have a similar service; OR
Design a new intervention based on what has worked in other hospitals that have a similar service, design some posters for the ward or clinic, and run an inservice for the staff to let them know of the new intervention
