ESA & ESICM - patient safety survey

This survey has been organised and prepared by the European Society of Anaesthesiology (ESA) and the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM). Leading members of both Societies discussed visibility and reputation of both Societies in particular by Citizens and Politicians within Europe. We felt that a majority of our work is/cannot be recognised as citizens and politicians do not know what we exactly do. We believe that one of the reasons is the lack of participation in preparation of planned (elective) interventions. We do believe that this lack of involvement has a major negative impact on patient safety and outcome. In order to learn more from you in the various European Countries we kindly ask you to participate in this short survey.

With kind regards,

Presidents, Vice-Presidents and Secretaries of ESA & ESICM
