Overview, Agreement, and Application

Get ready to ignite a love of reading this summer! GEEARS: Georgia Early Education Alliance for Ready Students convenes and coordinates The Mayor's Summer Reading Club (MSRC). This year, we're teaming up with Atlanta organizations to bring books to life for kids ages 0-5. Together, we're not just giving books away – we're sparking imaginations and building language skills!

Partner organizations will receive free books and expert training from the Alliance Theater and the Rollins Center to host engaging literacy events. Think story-time adventures with crafts, drama, and hands-on fun! Libraries, museums, farmers' markets – everyone can be a partner.

Want to join the fun? Partner with us! You'll join a training session, and then host at least one (or more!) MSRC book-themed literacy events this summer. We'll help you spread the word, and send you books for each attending child at no cost to you and no cost to them! It's all about celebrating the joy of reading in the community and at home.

Ready to make a difference? Complete this application to be a MSRC partner by the end of Wednesday, March 18th.

Partners choose a required training date that works best for them:
  • Saturday, March 28th, 9 - 11 am at The Speech School
  • Thursday, April 2nd, 9 - 11 am TBD
The optional MSRC Kick-Off event will be held May 14th, 2026. Let's get Atlanta reading!
