We are currently seeking nominations for vacant positions on the Board of Directors. We welcome all members, from all programs, to consider how they can contribute to the future of the Markham Soccer Club. If you have expertise in financial management, legal affairs, strategic planning, project management, technical program planning or Board governance, or if you are a strong team player with a collaborative approach, we encourage you to apply.
We are seeking nominations for the following positions:
Treasurer: 2 year term
Director-at-Large: 2 year term
Director-at-Large: 2 year term
Director-at-Large: 2 year term
Director-at-Large: 2 year term
To be eligible to serve as a Director, an individual must:
-Be 18 years of age or older.
-Not be a paid employee or contractor receiving $500 or more in compensation from the Corporation in one Calendar year.
-Not have been found to be incapable of managing property.
-Have not be declared incapable by a Court in Canada or another country.
-Not have the status of bankrupt.
Note that Directors are not required to be members.
This year's nominations are due no later than February 20, 2026. Candidates are permitted to nominate themselves. Candidates must be present at the 2026 AGM on Sunday March 1st to be eligible for election to the Board.
