Please vote for no more than four (4) of the following: Renea BordeauI am a 60 year old semi-retired Montpelier resident. I am currently an active member of the MSAC. I have worked for the State of Vermont for 30 years as a financial director. I am currently employed with SOV Agency of Transportation in a temporary role working on IT applications for the Agency. I am a transplant from NY where I moved to Vermont in 1986. I raised two boys as a single mother following my divorce in 2006. I obtained my Masters of Public Administration from UVM in 2008. My undergraduate degrees are a BS in Accounting and a BS in Finance at Trinity College in 1991. I am also a Vermont Certified Public Manager with the SOV.My personal interests include walking, Xcountry skiing, snow shoeing, biking, reading, chess and various puzzles to keep me going. I love animals and desire to engage with them as much as possible. I wish to be considered for the MSAC community again where I can engage in some capacity to help the senior community. I like to put my skills to great use wherever I can. I feel I can contribute to this organization even more than I have to date. Being semi-retired will free up some of my working time to devote to charitable organizations and MSAC is one community I would like to continue to volunteer my time to. Kris ClarkI have been a Meals on Wheels volunteer in the Montpelier area for over 30 years and have enjoyed every minute of it! During the pandemic I saw first-hand the increased need to help others, from food to household supplies, or a weekly phone call to see how someone was doing, or just a friendly “Hello” when dropping off a meal to let them know someone cares. I have worked at National Life Group for almost 40 years and have put in many volunteer hours helping others, HHH, CVHS, Red Cross, Green Up Day, to name a few. I know there is more to be done and others to help and I want to be a part of that in Central Vermont! Barbara DallAs an Advisory Council member these last four years I advocate for decisions that include Senior Activity Center members from the City, where I live. I am also aware of surrounding towns and their membership, and give voice to the need for their inclusion in MSAC's planning. I appreciate the varied kinds of classes MSAC offers, and enjoy learning and exercising with others. As we all find ways to emerge from the Covid time, I look forward to more laughter, music, discussion, and noise! as we again spend time together at home at MSAC. Suzi Swanson My name is Suzi Swanson and I have lived in the College Hill area of Montpelier for the past 4 years. I became aware of MSAC from my neighbors who were involved. Very quickly I realized what a gem of an organization MSAC is for all its members. There really is something for everyone. There are classes and events to sharpen our minds, keep our bodies in shape and entertain us. There are planned trips to events and interesting places that are fully organized (you just have to show up!). The FEAST program brings much needed nutritious meals to our neighbors in need. All the above for an extremely reasonable cost. I joined the Advisory Council in June of 2019 to do my part in helping to maintain and build on the existing programs. My term is up this June and I am running again for a second term to continue the work. I would appreciate your vote.
