A little about Lauren Bonner, RN your parenting educator: "I’ve been a nurse for 12 years. I also worked as a Nurse Educator for a year in a rehab facility, right before my move to southern Oregon five years ago. I then worked at Asante from 2013 until I was pregnant with my second child in 2017. I decided to be a stay at home Mom for a while and spend time with the kids. I still have an active nursing license as an RN. After having my son almost three years ago, I had severe postpartum depression and anxiety (having no issues prior to having a baby). I have become very passionate about teaching/speaking to others about postpartum depression. Therapy was a big help for me and I feel other mothers going though this need to know they are not alone. I attended a local well-known Parent/Child Group, but I felt that the mothers there were all happy and I wasn’t, and didn’t feel like I could truly open up and ask for help. I’d like to help create an outlet for women who are struggling and be a person they could go to and talk about what is happening. I am passionate about helping new mothers and I would like to teach Perinatal Parenting Workshops."
