In providing resources to make incorporating sustainability easier for architects, the AIA is looking for feedback on its recently launched Materials Matter website. The site is expected to accompany the Materials Matter in-person and online series, but also serve as a stand-alone resource to help architects integrate better materials into their practice. Your participation is critical to develop content that will be beneficial to design professionals and that will establish materials transparency at the forefront of design. This survey should take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. Your responses will be help confidential, with results evaluated in the aggregate without identifying information.

For this survey, “materials transparency” refers to the full disclosure of a material’s environmental and health impacts, and would include embodied carbon information and ingredients and the chemical make-up of products used in the construction of the built environment.
