Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Garden master plan update - Part 2
The master plan proposes changing the name of the garden to Sunshine Coast Botanic Garden, from Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Garden.
There are several reasons for this: - to position the botanic garden as one of the important projects that make the Sunshine Coast an attractive place to live, work and visit - to position this botanic garden as the premiere botanic garden on the Sunshine Coast - to recognise the changes in council boundaries that have taken place since the original master plan was developed, and to recognise that the botanic garden now ‘belongs’ to a much larger group of people.
