BCPA's Inaugural (Virtual) Psychology Summit
You may have heard of the 3-Minute thesis, but we thought we would raise the stakes a little bit, cutting down the presentation time by ⅔!
BCPA is looking for talented psychology students who are interested in showcasing their research in a challenging and exciting way: the 1-minute thesis.
On Saturday, November 27, 2021, students will have just 60 seconds and 1 PowerPoint slide to describe their years of research. At the end of the 60 seconds, students will be muted and an obnoxious alarm will sound. Members of the audience will have 5 minutes for questions (because, let’s be honest, there’s no way anyone will be able to describe their entire dissertation in just 1 minute). At the end of the speed round, the audience will vote on the best 1-minute thesis.
