Thank you for your interest in the 2012 USACycling Boys' 15/16 European Race Camp program. This survey serves as a request to be invited to one of the the two Race Camps.
Camp A is scheduled for July 11 - July 30. Camp B is scheduled for August 1 - August 20.
Both camps will have very similar offerings with just enough differentiation to make each experience unique. The purpose of the 15/16 European Race Camp is to create a learning opportunity for highly motivated young riders by exposing them to the subtleties and specific nuances of international competition and life in a foreign country.
The cost for the camp is $4200 and includes travel, housing, food, and incidental expenses for the duration of the camp. Camp activities will include races in Belgium (two per week), bike handling drills, strategy sessions, general training rides, exposure to track cycling and cultural activities. Camp participants in the past have included current National Development Program representatives, Nathan Brown, Matthew Lipscomb, Logan Owen, Colin Joyce, Jacob Rathe, Lawson Craddock, and Adam Leibovitz.
Selections will be based on survey responses, athlete development camp testing results, national and local race results. Favor will be given to athletes that have demonstrated an ability to work and race at a very high level in the United States. With only 12 riders being selected (6 for each camp), it is expected that it will be very competitive to get into this camp.
