How Does Programming Relate to the Urban Agriculture Activity Plan?

Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board adopted an Urban Agriculture Activity plan in 2014.  https://www.minneapolisparks.org/_asset/15kfy0/urban_ag_activity_plan.pdf

As part of that plan, three delivery goals and related strategies were identified to carry the plan forward to implementation.  These goals include:

GOAL ONE:
Park programs and services provide public education, access to healthy foods, and economic support for the local food system

GOAL TWO:
Park facility renewal and development fosters urban agriculture activities

GOAL THREE:
Food available on parkland benefits residents, park visitors and the environment

As each of these goals relates in some way to programming, MPRB's Urban Agriculture Activity Plan Implementation Team is interested in learning more about the community's priorities for program offerings as well as how these offerings can be advertised and what barriers to participation should be considered and addressed.

Please note: During its master planning of neighborhood parks, MPRB is designating urban agriculture areas that can be used for community gardens, orchards, or other forms of urban agriculture that best fit community needs/goals.
