The Office of Behavioral Health is hosting a FREE Community Reinforcement And Family Prevention Training (CRAFT-P) for treatment clinicians and prevention providers that are interested in providing group sessions for family members of substance users. CRAFT-P works to affect the substance user’s behavior by changing the way the family interacts with him or her. CRAFT-P teaches family members effective strategies for helping the substance user to change and feel better about themselves. It is designed to accomplish the following goals: motivate and encourage substance user to stay involved in treatment, reduce the substance user’s alcohol and drug use, improve the lives of the concerned family and friends. Additionally CRAFT-P empowers family members to increase protective factors, reduce risk factors, and increase resiliency in children of person entering or continuing treatment.
