The Angus Australia Foundation will provide two Angus Australia members aged between 18 and 30 a scholarship to attend the ALFA SMARTBEEF conference to be held at the University of New England, Armidale, NSW, from the 1 - 3 November 2017. The SMARTBEEF Scholarship aims to recognise two Angus Australia member's that are passionate about the Australia feedlot industry. The recipients of these scholarships will receive $1500 each to assist them with the travel costs associated with attending the event (eg. conference registration fee, travel, accommodation). 

The aim of this scholarship is to:
  • Increase the recipient's knowledge of the Australian Feedlotting industry and the beef industry as a whole
  • Allow recipients the opportunity to network with industry professionals
  • Develop the recipient's personal skills
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO ENTER
To be eligible for these scholarship's, applicants must be between 18 and 30 years of age. You must also be a current Angus Youth or Angus Australia financial member. Membership forms are available on the Angus Australia website.

HOW TO APPLY
To apply for the SMARTBEEF Scholarship, applicants will need to complete the entire following application. 
Applications close 21st August 2017

CONDITIONS OF RECEIVING THE SCHOLARSHIP
  • The scholarship cannot be deferred, it must be taken up in the year it is awarded
  • Within two weeks of attending the conference, a full report must be given to the Angus Australia Foundation
